It was great to hear our chairman Mel Hurst wrap up the current season, and to listen to the artists' touring anecdotes in the schools. (We really enjoyed the one where Marcus from DuffleBag Theatre, as he was walking out of a school after a performance, heard a little girl in the parking lot, obviously a big fan, tell her dad:"Dad! It's the guy from AwfulBag Theatre!")
In early July, we will be updating the website to reflect the new roster for 2015-2016. (See our new catalogue!) And this summer, we'll be preparing new "goodies" for the teachers and the parents in the school councils, to help them create an event out of a Prologue school performance.
Meanwhile, in July and August, Prologue's artists will be busy performing in different public venues: Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, Living Arts Centre, Peterborough Public Library, Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, London Children's Museum, McMichael Canadian Arts Collection, Vaughan City Playhouse. Some will perform at camps, others will be seen during public events such as Harbourfront Centre (on July 1st), Toronto Fringe Festival, Prince Edward County Festival, Home County Music Festival, Canadian National Exhibition.
Have a wonderful cultural summer!
